About Us

iPhoneFolder was started in early 2008 by Charles Treece, a Mac / iPhone developer and college grad. When the site first launched, Charles had developed two applications, DogYears, a colorful, and fun way to find out your dog's age in human years and iPointz. Over the course of a year Charles had completed several other apps but didn't submit them to the iTunes Store.

After his success, he stopped development and began volunteering for a competitive gaming website. While working on said site, he met Alex Wilson who, like Charles, was looking for something to do in his spare time.

The two found they had a lot in common and instantly became friends. Both decided to quit volunteering and focused on developing websites and software. Throughout the next few months, they brainstormed ideas for various websites and applications, after a few failed attempts, Charles decided to dig up a past application that he had given up on. That application would come to be known, as dTECT.

Over the next six months, the two poured all of their ideas and creativity into dTECT. There were many times they wanted to give up and thought that it couldn't be done, but all of their hard work paid off when dTECT was released on the iTunes App Store in January of 2010.

The two developers are now awaiting their next challenge, and will continue creating applications and software for many years to come.
